The Minnesota Orchestra's season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, and many of you have told us that you're longing to hear them play again.
We can't reopen Orchestra Hall, but we can bring back some of our favorite performances from the not-too-distant past.
This week's encore broadcast with the Minnesota Orchestra goes back to 2016, when principal harp Kathy Kienzle played a brilliant and challenging concerto from the 20th century by Alberto Ginastera. After 27 years with the orchestra, Kienzle was about to retire.
Also on the program, a Brandenburg Concerto by Bach and Mass for a Sacred Place, by Stephen Paulus.
