The Minnesota Orchestra's season was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, and many of you have told us that you're longing to hear them play again.
We can't reopen Orchestra Hall, but we can bring back some of our favorite performances from the not-too-distant past.
This week's encore program takes us back to January 2019 when the orchestra hosted a festival of American Music. Osmo Vänskä conducts symphonies by Samuel Barber and Howard Hanson; and principal clarinet Gabriel Campos Zamora plays not one, but two concertos. All in all, a perfect fit for Memorial Day weekend.
