Why do you love to perform?
I chose this piece because it is from an opera I dearly love, Griselda, and it is also a challenging piece because it is completely in Italian and I learned it without a vocal coach of any sort which allowed me to completely focus on this one piece and fall in love with all of its details. I felt it fit me as a performer because of its musical theater element while also retaining a very classical standpoint, both of which are categories I like to work with.
