Why do you love to perform?

I love to perform because music makes me feel whole. As a performer, I love that I can convey a message to the audience and transport myself to an entirely new place, outside of reality. Additionally, I love to perform as a way of giving back to the community. For the past two years, I've been a music volunteer for memory care patients at the SummerWood Retirement community in Plymouth. It's heartwarming to see someone recognize a Bach Minute on the cello or sing along as I play a Christmas Carol on the piano. I've found that this experience has made me a better musician, performer, and person.
