I decided to play this piece because of the light, upbeat tone as well as its ties to the tango tradition in Argentina. Dyens wrote this piece to encapsulate the life of cowboys in Argentina and Brazil, which is reflected in the fast and furious nature of the arpeggios and rasgueado.
