Brayden Drevlow, 2013 Featured Artist, piano

Age: 23

Hometown: Thief River Falls, Minn.

Attended: Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn.

Encouragement from the MPR family helped me decide to attend Concordia College to study Piano Performance with Dr. Jay Hershberger. I graduated in May 2019 with honors and now live in Fargo, North Dakota where I have a private studio of 20+ kids. There's nothing more fulfilling than raising up the next generation of musicians! Beside teaching, I have been performing on piano all around the world. I tend to find myself doing mostly solo piano concerts, and have also been soloing with many Midwest symphonies, including Bemidji, Grand Forks, and Fargo Symphonies. Since my last update, I've performed for the President in Washington DC, on several tours around the US, and many international concerts. I found that I really enjoy performing for unique people in unique places; like piano bars in Ireland, Disneyland ragtime piano, and Embassies around the world. While traveling, I often like to push myself out of the comfort zone, from skydiving to fire-breathing to SCUBA diving. One other highlight is that I am an Ambassador to the United States for the Republic of Uzipis in Eastern Europe, where my biggest priority is promoting the arts. If you'd like to learn more about me or catch one of my performances, please do visit my website. Again, a HUGE thank you to MPR to encouraging young artists like myself!
