Why do you love to perform?
I love to perform because of the unique challenge it presents along with the opportunity for growth and learning. Performing is unlike any other activity – it incorporates adrenaline, technical skills, mental focus, and musicianship all into a time frame of a few minutes. The nervous, tingling feeling that comes when I perform is something that I do not experience anywhere in life. While it is both horrifying and energizing at the same time, performing is one of the most rewarding experiences simply because of the joy that comes from a good performance. Bad performances are never fun, but they also contain value, as much can be learned from them. Overall, I love performing because it is the culmination of hours of hard work practicing and perfecting my craft. Even when it is not perfect, the feelings and emotions that come from the performance are hard to find anywhere else.
