Mill City Summer Opera started five years ago with a new idea: grand opera, performed outdoors in the historic ruins at the Mill City Museum in Minneapolis. It's the perfect combination of great singers and summer atmosphere.
This year, Carmen comes to Mill City in the person of mezzo-soprano Audrey Babcock, a singer whose passion for the character of Carmen extends even beyond Bizet's opera.
She talks about that and sings the "Habanera." And we hear from her Don Jose, tenor Adam Diegel.
