Jessie Montgomery is an accomplished chamber musician, composer and music educator. A classically trained violinist, she only recently in her career began focusing on writing music. Montgomery completed a graduate degree in Composition for Film and Multimedia at New York University in 2012. She co-founded the string ensemble PUBLIQuartet in 2010 and has been active with The Sphinx Organization for the past 19 years. Today, Montgomery is a member of the highly acclaimed Catalyst Quartet and her compositions are performed by orchestras and chamber groups throughout the country.
