Do you love to sing? Classical MPR seeks voices of all abilities for the third season of Bring the Sing, a community singing event that is part choral workshop, part recording session. Whether you're a professional vocalist, a choir member, or just like to sing in the shower, you're invited to join the fun of choral singing! You'll work with a conductor, sing with members of your community and others around the state, and hear the result posted on classicalmpr.org.
In 2018, Bring the Sing will return to these Minnesota cities:
• Rochester: Sunday afternoon, Jan. 28, 2018
• Duluth: Saturday morning, March 24, 2018
Online sign-up is now closed for Bring the Sing's Rochester event, scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 28, 1 to 4 p.m., in the Fine Arts Auditorium at Lourdes High School, 2800 19th St NW, Rochester, MN 55901. You can still join conductor Joe Osowski in Rochester for this unique choral-singing experience - just register in person when you arrive. Doors open at 12:15PM; please plan to arrive no later than 12:50PM so that the event can start on time. There will be an extended refreshment break in the middle so you can enjoy getting to know your singing neighbors.
Songs for the Rochester event are listed here. We'll provide printed copies, but don't worry if you don't read music! A core choir will lead the voice parts, and some of the music will be taught to you. You can pick up the sheet music when you arrive at the event.
Because audio and video recording will take place during the event, you will be required to sign and turn in a media release form. Please sign and turn in a form when you arrive and register.
Questions? Send them to email@example.com.
See you there!
