Why do you like to compose?
I like to compose because it gives me an avenue to express emotions that typical music playing (as an instrumentalist) doesn't allow. I get to craft each piece to exactly how I envision it in my head, and (as much as I do like Chopin and the rest) I don't have to follow what someone else wrote in the score. The freedom and flexibility of composing has always appealed to me.
