Why do you like to compose?
To me, music composition is a very personal and intimate form of self-expression. With written language, we are limited to the rules of grammar and the meanings of words. Even in performing music, we are limited to express only what is on the page. With writing music, however, there are no barriers or limits. It is the ultimate freedom to tell a story, in whatever way I choose. It's that freedom that makes me love composing music and allows me to find an outlet for self-expression that few other things can offer.
