Luca Tallarini from Inver Grove Heights, Minn. was a Minnesota Varsity 2015 Showcase Artist as a member of Trio Tesoro. He recently got in touch with Classical MPR's Christine Sweet to share his latest news.

Attends: Texas A&M University at Galveston, Texas
Currently, I am studying Marine Engineering at Texas A&M University at Galveston (a bit far from home, I know - the heat isn't too bad once you get used to it). I plan to work in the maritime industry after college, either as an engineer aboard a cargo vessel, or working on land.
Minnesota Varsity gave me a perspective on the radio end of classical music that I would not have gotten any other way. The other members of Trio Tesoro were Sarrah Bushara, oboe, and Cole Thompson, piano. My favorite memory from my experience in Minnesota Varsity was recording our piece in the MPR studio.
