This past summer, my 25-minute song cycle "on reaching and collapsing" received its complete premiere at a Punk-Ass Classical program in Minneapolis, which was the best possible sendoff as I left for college, where I'm taking a five-day-a-week music theory class this semester and will join Eric Nathan's composition seminar next semester. I'm already involved with the composer organizations on campus, and I plan to write a piece for a visiting ensemble in the spring.
