Education, to both of us, has been a really important part of what we do. We even see normal concert series as a chance to educate because a lot of people don't hear new music. Whether it's experimental or by new standards, kind of conservative, it is still a new thing. I don't think that people think about living composers every day. And so I think that was part of it, seeking opportunities to reach a broader audience with new musics and this was a perfect fit cos we reached so many students.
