The OK Factor recently sat down with Classical MPR's Julie Amacher to talk about their experience as a Class Notes Artist and perform two pieces:
• Béla Bartók (arr. The OK Factor) — Doboz
• The OK Factor — Liz's Porch
"It's been a really exciting experience for us. This is really the first time that we've been able to tour around different schools and with different class levels so it's been just an amazing experience. I think the one thing that makes this so unique is how much the teachers appreciate the fact that they get a free program, that they don't have to pay, it's subsidized by MPR. And they're so grateful, they can't thank us enough and we say 'Thank Classical MPR for making the program possible and bringing us' because as much as it is a treat for them, it's a treat for us to be able to reach kinds who may not otherwise be exposed to these instruments."
