Why do you love to perform?

I love to perform because there are so many things that I, as a performer, can do to make my audience feel the emotions of a piece. Allowing someone in the audience to feel the emotions that I am trying to convey is one of the best thing that I am allowed to do as a performer. Making someone happy, thoughtful, or inspired gives a meaning and a purpose to my music. Whether I am performing as a solo performer, or am singing in my school choir, seeing someone's face in the audience light up is one of the most motivational things to see. Making someone else connected to piece that you love makes the music even more magical than it already is. The audience has as much to do with the music as the performer does. If I perform for people, but do not move them, than how was my music impactful. The audience allows the music to be powerful. That is why I love to perform; seeing ordinary people become as submersed in music as I am.
