The 2016 Northern Hemisphere Vernal Equinox happened on March 20 at 12:30 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time. On the equinoxes, the sun shines directly on the Equator and the length of day and night is nearly equal. For those of us who live north of the Equator, the vernal equinox signals the start of spring.
And that's why on this week's Learning to Listen, hosts Andrea Blain and Alison Young explore music that celebrates the season of spring.
