Why did you choose this piece?
Music is an escape. I love to sing because when I do, I feel as if I'm able to become something larger than myself. That helps me to express thoughts and feelings that might otherwise remain buried. My goal is to sing my whole life long as a way of bringing joy to myself and to others. I selected "Easy as Life" because I am proud of the work our cast did in preparing Elton John and Tim Rice's "Aida" as our fall musical. This song was particularly challenging for me emotionally and vocally.
