The Young Musicians of Minnesota (YMM) began during the Minnesota Orchestra lockout as a way to support the musicians of the orchestra. Now the group is planning a summer festival to highlight the talents of young musicians in the region.
Grant Johnson is a first-year student at the University of Minnesota, studying Environmental Science. He's also a violinist and board member of YMM. He spoke with Steve Staruch about the YMM summer festival orchestra.
