Regional Spotlight: UMD Flute Choir

Broken Pieces for flute choir

Flutist Paula Gudmundson is Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Minnesota - Duluth. Recently she hosted the second annual Flute Choir Festival at UMD. One of the highlights of the festival was the premiere of a new work.

"Broken Pieces" was composed by Zachery Meier, a recent UMD graduate. A flutist himself, Meier is currently pursuing a degree in composition at Washington State University.

The UMD Flute Choir's performance of Meier's work is featured in this week's Regional Spotlight.
