Scott Lykins and Taylor Ward co-founded the Lakes Area Music Festival in Brainerd, Minn., in 2009. The festival has ripened in these last six seasons. All the concerts are free and feature first-rate artists performing in the festival orchestra, in chamber music and in an opera.
