St. Augustine said "he who sings prays twice" — or did he? What he did write was, "Singing belongs to one who loves." And what we've learned from the scientists is that singing is good for you — in fact, singing in groups brings everyone's pulse together, and there's a fusing of mind and spirit.

This Sunday, Feb. 23, the National Lutheran Choir will host a city-wide sing-along — a hymn fest. Artistic director David Cherwien and organist/cantor at Central Lutheran Mark Sedio along with the National Lutheran Choir (and you) will make beautiful music together.

Cherwien and Sedio join Alison Young in the studio to help explain why this experience is so fulfilling — and addictive. They also share some music they admire.
