For our new weekly feature, "Moveable Feast," Rachel Hutton of Minnesota Monthly joins John Birge to talk about food topics in which Classical MPR listeners may be interested.

Last week, John and Rachel talked about botanical art; this week, they're talking real botanics at Como Park's Marjorie McNeely Conservatory. The conservatory's tropical, lush air, and living plants and flowers make it a great spot to visit.

It's also an excuse to zip up to Maverick's Real Roast Beef in Roseville, Minn.; Rachel says to think of it as "artisan Arby's." Or you could visit John's Pizza Cafe on Como Avenue in St. Paul, located in a triangle-shaped building that looks like a slice of pizza. John's is home to the terrific "Hog in the Bog" pizza, with mushrooms, wild rice, and bratwurst sausage — tastes very much influenced by Minnesota. The usual suspects, like sausage or pepperoni pizza, are also on offer.

Another establishment to consider visiting is Fasika on Snelling; it's one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in the Twin Cities. Dining at Faskia is a communal experience and a good option for vegetarians, too.
