Josh McCaffrey is a storyteller, and he even did a stint in Hollywood as a writer for the soaps.
These days, Josh's career has him a bit closer to home. He grew up with two classical works in the family library: Handel's Messiah and the Vivaldi, Four Seasons. But Josh brings a completely different set of inspiring works to Music with Minnesotans. His playlist includes a bit of Hollywood, a bit of Broadway and even some Vivaldi.
What stories this guy can tell!
Thomas Newman: main theme from Road to Perdition (Decca 017167)
Einaudi: I Giorni with violinist Daniel Hope (DG 17999)
Lionel Bart: Overture and Food Glorious Food "Oliver" cast recording (RCA 51432)
Edward Elgar: Nimrod with Leonard Bernstein and BBC Symphony Orchestra (DG 457 691)
Next week, Steve's guest is Maddie Wild Crea, a writer of stories and a volunteer at Arc Value Village and St. Anthony Park Nursing Home. Her joy in helping others is reflected in her playlist.
