"In the spring of 2012, I had the amazing opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall on the show From The Top and was awarded a $10,000 Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award through the show!

I have started college now and am loving majoring in flute performance. My career goal is to make it into an orchestra someday.

Minnesota Varsity has given me amazing opportunities. Being able to perform on the radio gave me the opportunity to show my love of music to a large group of people who otherwise would have no clue who I was. Being recorded in the Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser studio and seeing how MPR operates was really fun for me. The last time I went, I even got to see the music library and was also able be in the room and talk to Mindy Ratner between pieces while she was on air! The performance opportunities that Minnesota Varsity has given me have also been great. I've had an amazing experience through the Minnesota Varsity competition. It has given me exposure as a musician and has showed me how many people appreciate the music that I love making."
