This week, Morning Glories will spotlight great Classical pieces inspired by works of visual art. From Enrique Granados' Goyescas, inspired by the work of Francesco Goya, to Randall Thompson's The Peaceable Kingdom, inspired by the famous Edward Hicks painting of the same name, the pieces we're playing demonstrate different facets of the complex interplay between music and visual art. This slideshow gives you a glimpse of some of the works in question. Check back throughout the week as you listen to Morning Glories to match the pieces to the paintings!
