This week, the Minnesota Orchestra performs the grand finale to its current season -- broadcast live on Classical MPR Friday night at 8 p.m. As we look forward to that concert, we'll be celebrating the rich recorded legacy of the Minnesota Orchestra throughout the week, from Skrowaczewski's Bartok, recorded in the early days of Orchestra Hall, to Vänskä's ongoing cycle of Beethoven recordings -- currently winning rave reviews throughout the world of classical music.
In celebration of the season, we've been playing Minnesota Orchestra recordings at 10 a.m. each morning with the last five music directors, leading up to Osmo Vänskä:

Wednesday
