Click on Classical: Fantasia at 75, universal music (or not), and Capri Glee!

Every Monday morning at 9:15, I join John Birge to talk about stories we're featuring on our website. Here are the stories I'll be discussing this morning with Alison Young, who's in for John today.

2015 marks the 75th anniversary of the release of Fantasia. After three-quarters of a century, Disney's classic is still a uniquely compelling intersection of classical music and popular culture. I tell the story of the film's bold vision and rocky rollout.

Is music truly a universal language? Gwen Hoberg went back to school for a conversation with her former World Musics professor for a talk about whether music actually does cross cultural boundaries.

A new education program at the Capri Theater in Minneapolis is teaching kids and adults how to sing...and dance. Sheila Regan has the story.
