A tradition almost 100 years old, A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols will be heard live nationwide from the Choir of King's College, Cambridge, England, on Christmas Eve. But you can get in the holiday mood now by entering for a chance to win a CD or DVD commemorating the highly acclaimed event.
Available for giveaway is the 78-minute CD Favourite Carols From King's, which includes "a sumptuous collection of carols" that's "the perfect accompaniment to the festive season," or the 2+-hour DVD Carols From King's, which includes the full 2014 service as well as the BBC documentary "60 Years of Carols From King's."
But hurry — you have only until Dec. 10 to enter for the giveaway. Winners should receive their CD or DVD in time to enjoy before Christmas.
Then tune in Sunday, Dec. 24, to hear this year's A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on Classical Minnesota Public Radio, online and stations nationwide. The live broadcast starts at 9 a.m. central time (10 a.m. eastern), and then repeats at 7 p.m. central (8 p.m. eastern).
