A number of people like to grill for Father's Day, so we wanted to round up some of Minnesota's best butcher shops.
In the Twin Cities metro area, there are classics like Everett's in south Minneapolis and Hackenmueller's in Robbinsdale that have been around for decades because they have a huge selection and great service. Clancey's Meats in Linden Hills is a relative newcomer with a focus on sourcing local, sustainably raised meat.
The most famous butcher shop is Thielen Meats, with locations in Pierz and Little Falls — two towns situated roughly between St. Cloud and Brainerd. Their bacon caught national attention when it was lauded in the New York Times — even Martha Stewart has ordered it! And from the wine and cheese people at France 44, there's the St. Paul Meat Shop on Grand Avenue.
