Listening to the Language of Structure

Nancy Holland on Music with Minnesotans

For most of her adult, life the word Nancy Holland most often associated with classical music was "boring"! But she credits Schubert for a complete change of heart.

Holland is Professor Emerita of Philosophy at Hamline University. She is the author of several philosophical books, and she has a novel on the way. Her personal playlist includes the famed Schubert Quintet, the music that marked her newfound passion for classical music, as well as pieces by Dvořák and Rachmaninov. Nancy Holland is Steve Staruch's guest on Music with Minnesotans.
