The owners of Chowgirls Killer Catering literally wrote the book on party food — a new tome called "Chowgirls Killer Party Food" — they even do paella parties where they bring a giant pan and cook Spanish style.
Create Catering is another good option. It's run by chef Philip Dowart, who long ago ran Table of Contents, a name longtime foodies will remember.
But there are also lots of food trucks that do events and many restaurants, everything from Chef Shack to Holy Land. I heard that there was a couple who had their first date at Brasa and ended up pushing their wedding back a whole year because they wanted Brasa to cater and they were already booked!
