Flutist, Hannah Peterson Green, and pianist, Joe Trucano, of the Cedarwood Duo were joined by dancers Leah Gallas and Blake Nellis to chat with Classical MPR's Julie Amacher regarding their experience as Class Notes Artists.

One of my favorite things and one of the most rewarding things about this whole experience was we received thank you notes from the Saint Anthony Park students and what struck me the most about the thank you notes was that no two notes were the same. And I think often times I expect the students to all have the same favorite piece or all the students to gravitate towards the fastest or the most dramatic pieces, But I was very surprised and impressed to see that some of these kids liked Irish folk music or Viennese waltzes or tango the most. So it's really interesting to see how at such a young age there's already this different sense of creativity and there's this sense of individuality in the students that they're able to discern their own musical tastes.
