Moveable Feast: February To-Do List

Moveable Feast: To-Do List

The Great Northern winds down this weekend, with great events like the Loppet and the Beer Dabbler's outdoor beer festival taking place at the state fairgrounds.

Also this weekend, Red Bull Crashed Ice is happening in downtown St. Paul near the Cathedral. And coming up later this month, the Art Shanty Projects on White Bear Lake are a fun way to combine our outdoor and arts culture — where the iconic ice fishing shack is reimagined to experience art instead of catch fish. There are shanties for playing music, doing science ... there's even a shanty that's a giant pinhole camera.

In Stillwater, you can visit the ice castles. They're similar to the old Winter Carnival castles, but with more organic shapes and tunnels (like the ice caves Apostle Islands).
