After the Minnesota Varsity Showcase Concert at the Fitzgerald Theatre on May 1st, I performed later that month with the Medalist Concert Band in Bloomington and in June was a co-principal in the MMEA All-state Orchestra at The College of Saint Benedict. This summer I studied privately with Clarinet Professor Alex Fiterstein at the University of Minnesota, with Professor Scott Anderson at St. Olaf College, and with my clarinet teacher at Baylor University, Dr. Jun Qian. Additionally, I attended the Interlochen Clarinet Institute, was invited to join Emil Khudyev's clarinet studio at Interlochen and am now enrolled there in 11th grade. Before summer was over I took some time off to sight-see on Mackinac Island. This fall, I'll return to Minnesota to perform in the recording of the nationally distributed public radio show From the Top with host Christopher O'Reilly, November 13th at the Ordway. I'm invited to play with a woodwind ensemble that will appear on the same program with the New York Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall in January. And in February I'll be home again to perform with the Minnesota Orchestra in a Young People's Concert Series event on the 8th.
