Since I have performed in Minnesota Varsity, I have been accepted as a PSEO student at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and have moved to Minneapolis. It is a big adjustment for my senior year of high school and I am sad to leave behind the amazing community of the Brainerd Lakes Area, but I am extremely excited to go from being a country mouse to a city mouse.

In the future I am looking forward to pursuing a degree in Flute Performance and a career as a professional classical musician, with my goal being to get a job with an orchestra and teach privately. My favorite memory of the Minnesota Varsity experience was performing onstage at the Fitzgerald Theater. It was simply exhilarating, especially knowing that people all over the state were listening live on the radio. I loved being able to share my interpretation of one of the best solo flute pieces, Image, with a larger audience through Minnesota Public Radio.
