Every weekday morning at 10 a.m., the hosts at Classical MPR play a standout work based on the theme for the week. We call them Morning Glories.
This coming weekend, Imani Winds is giving masterclasses and performing at The Upper Midwest Chamber Winds Symposium at University of St. Thomas. And there's a new member of the group — clarinetist, Mark Dover.
For this week's Morning Glories we will listen to some of the great chamber music composed (and arranged) for winds, including performances by Imani Winds.
Monday
Maurice Ravel: Le Tombeau de Couperin (featuring Imani Winds)
Tuesday
Carl Nielsen: Wind Quintet, Op.43
Wednesday
Francis Poulenc: Sextet
Thursday
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Serenade in B-flat, K361 (Gran Partita)
Friday
Traditional: Klezmer Dances (featuring Imani Winds and their new clarinetist, Mark Dover)
