Sorry, you're probably already too late to get an A-list dinner reservation, but you might be able to salvage the situation with a meal from your B-list and putting your effort into pre- or post-dinner drinks.
Start by picking a place with the right ambiance: there's something sexy about a subterranean cocktail bar — must be the dim lighting.
A few favorites are the garden level Parlour, the bunker-like Marvel Bar (below The Bachelor Farmer), and the literary chic library lounge in the basement of Marin. Otherwise go up to Prohibition in the top of the Foshay, which has a vintage vibe and amazing views of the city.
While you'll have to wait for warmer weather to hit the roof deck at Libertine, that's where you'll currently find my vote for the city's sexiest cocktail — the "Yes, Please." It's basically a Lemon Drop with salted caramel foam, a sweet-sour concoction that's equal parts fun and sloppy.
