Flicks in Five: Maureen O'Hara

On October 24, we lost one of the great stars of the 'Golden Era of Hollywood' -- Maureen O'Hara.

She was born Maureen FitzSimons in 1940, and as she launched into a career as a singer and actress, she became known for playing passionate, but sensible leading ladies. She was also known for her on-screen chemistry with "The Duke" — John Wayne. Between 1948 and 1972, the two appeared in five films together Rio Grande, The Wings of Eagles, McLintock!, Big Jake and The Quiet Man.

On this week's Flicks in Five, Lynne Warfel looks at the career of this famously red-headed actress, and shares music from one of her John Wayne collaborations, The Quiet Man.
