The Singers - Minnesota Choral Artists to Premiere 'Ghost Camp'

What happens when you combine The Singers - Minnesota Choral Artists and chamber ensemble Zeitgeist with actor and gifted vocalist James Ramlet narrating a story recounting Walt Whitman's time as a civil war nurse?

Well folks...you get the deeply moving world premiere of Craig Carnahan's Ghost Camp. Matthew Culloton, conductor and artistic director of The Singers, said that Ghost Camp was "one of the most poignant and powerful additions to the male chorus repertoire in years."

This work, written for male chorus, narrator, piano, cello, clarinet, and percussion, will be performed on May 29, 7:30 p.m. at Hamline University's Sundin Hall of Music and May 30, 7:30 p.m. at Wayzata Community Church.

Check out this video interview with Matthew Culloton and composer Craig Carnahan.
