Where Are They Now? spotlights Minnesota Varsity Featured and Showcase Artists from 2011 to 2014.
Cellist Nora Doyle of Minneapolis was a Minnesota Varsity 2012 Featured Artist and 2013 Showcase Artist (with the Luna String Quartet), and a 2014 Showcase Artist (solo). She recently contacted Classical MPR's Christine Sweet to share some of her Varsity memories.

I thoroughly enjoyed performing as part of Minnesota Varsity. I think Minnesota Varsity is a really unique competition in that, through it, I gained experience in performing for a live audience but also had the chance to make a recording in a professional studio. I participated in Minnesota Varsity for three years. One of my favorite memories of my Minnesota Varsity experience was in 2013 when my quartet, the Luna String Quartet, was able to perform Bohemian Rhapsody for an encore at the Fitzgerald Theater concert, as a result of winning the audience Encore Vote. One thing that I really love about Minnesota Varsity is the chance to hear so many young people from across the state play wonderful music. I'll miss it this year!
