The Chamber Music Society of Minnesota concludes its season this coming weekend with a performance of Paul Schoenfield's "Sparks of Glory." The piece is based on true stories of the unquenchable spirit of victims of the Holocaust.

Scored for narrator and small ensemble, "Sparks of Glory" will receive its regional premiere. Steve Staruch spoke with the composer about the piece and about Schoenfield's composing method.
