This piece begins oh-so-dramatically. And then … well, you'll hear.
Thursday
Strauss: Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks
Strauss's tone poem illustrates the adventures of the irrepressible medieval troublemaker.
Friday
Ibert: Divertissement
This music was originally written to accompany a stage farce. Even in the concert version, the madcap energy comes through.
