Every weekday morning at 10 a.m., the hosts at Classical MPR play a stand-out work based on the theme for the week. We call them Morning Glories. This week brings us Halloween, All Saints' Day, Dia de los Muertos, et cetera, and our Morning Glories will all allude to the medieval chant known as the Dies irae ("day of wrath") — sometimes subtly (Haydn), sometimes not so much (Berlioz).

Wednesday

Thursday
