Lawrence Wiliford was one of the original members of Classical MPR's new artist-in-residence, Cantus.

in life after Cantus, Wiliford pursued a solo career which has blossomed and is really taking off.

He has just completed a new recording that is luminous and filled with color. In anticipation of the Benjamin Britten centenary in 2013, "Britten: Divine Musick" will officially be released later this month.

Wiliford spoke with me about the project. That conversation and several tracks from the new disc are featured in this week's Regional Spotlight.
