They call her a "million-volt stage presence!" - Joyce Yang -- the spectacular young Korean pianist who captured a silver medal at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2005.

Since then, her dance-card has been full with recitals and concerto performances including the Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 3 with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra later this summer.

Twin cities audiences were lucky enough to hear her last season as one of the artists featured by the Frederic Chopin Society.

Her performance of the Beethoven Sonata No. 18 at the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center is featured in this week's Regional Spotlight.
