New Classical Tracks: Karl Jenkins, 'Cantata Memoria'

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the landslide disaster in Aberfan, Wales, that claimed the lives of 116 children and 28 adults, composer Karl Jenkins was commissioned to create the 'Cantata Memoria.' The work is written in two parts: the first tells the story of the tragedy itself, and the second is a journey from darkness to light. Hear more about the work and enter for a chance to own the CD.

Desmond Earley

New Classical Tracks Uncut: Desmond Earley

This year, Julie Amacher counts down her six favorite New Classical Tracks interviews of 2016 and shares them in their entirety on 'New Classical Tracks Uncut.' For December 30, Julie shares her full conversation with Desmond Earley, director of the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin, who talks about the ensemble's newest album, 'Invisible Stars.' Earley also describes the composition of the choir and the role of music in traditional Irish culture.
