Player Piano takes on Super Mario Bros

A few months back, we introduced you to Player Piano — a collaboration between director Tom Grey and composer/pianist Sonya Belousova that features piano arrangements of popular songs, as well as movie and video game themes. We shared a video in which Belousova performed an arrangement of the theme to Doctor Who (with a dizzying array of costume changes and a TARDIS-blue piano).

The team is at it again, as they celebrate 30 years of Super Mario Bros with a medley of themes from the famous video game.  The performance takes place on a surrealist set containing hints of the Mushroom Kingdom, with Belousova seated at a piano made to resemble a Nintendo Entertainment System (and a piano bench modeled after an NES controller). As a bonus, subscribing to their YouTube channel enters you in a drawing for a chance to win the piano in the video.
